I woke this morning still feeling a little resentful towards mama, so I spend a lot of time in my room, just hanging out and reading, and stumbling on the net. At about noon, I came downstairs. She had made me lunch, and I immediately regretted the way I acted. We hung out and talked, and watched a bunch of tv after that, but I still feel a little guilty.
There was a typhoon today, started about 2, but that was enough that I couldn't really go anywhere today. So much for those plans to go to Harajuku/Shibuya/wherever. The winds were really strong, and it was raining crazy hard, so going outside at all was too daunting to risk. I ended up reading a lot today. Got halfway through Mockingjay, the third Hunger Games book. It's really gooooood… I was going to wait until the plane back to read it, but couldn't wait. Ohhh Katniss. I also ate a bunch of sweets today, which in hindsight wasn't a good idea, but felt good at the time. I got this awesome chocolate called Bacchus. It was kind of bitter to start, but the more I eat, the better it tastes, lol.
Dinner tonight was something called Mojyayaki, yeah, I have no idea. I was basically Okonomiyaki, but baked all at once, then, cut into portions. The result had an undercooked texture to it that made me feel a little sick, but I let my next portion cook a little more on both sides and that was better.
Mama also made Sangria for us, made from a sweet wine, seltzer, apples, and navel oranges. You can see it in the top left corner. It was genuinely very tasty. I don't normally drink wine, but this was totally worth trying. We also had this strange mixture of mochi and cheesecake for dessert. I liked it, but I don't think chewy cheesecake is going to become a big fad anytime soon. I drank probably a little too much though, because I'm now very warm and pretty sleepy.
