Day 74 - Yukata Katta!

I did it! I bought a yukata! I'm so glad I actually found one. Went to that little second hand store I found with Colleen forever ago. The plan had been to go to this place called "Oriental Bazaar", but it's closed Thursdays. But went to this place, called Chicago, in Omotesand in Harajuku and found one! There were a lot of them, and since they're second hand they're pretty cheap. Mine was under 2000 yen. And it fits! Nothing here fits, but I managed to find a kimono, that's pretty, and inexpensive, and fits! So happy.

The rest of my didn't really matter. Was late for Econ again, but thankfully wasn't counted absent. That's important. And got to sit and play kingdom hearts for a long time today, too. And that's pretty much my day. Not looking forward to tomorrow. Have another practice then, and I'm still sore from yesterday. Another Saturday, then Thursday next week, and actually performing on Friday next week. Super excited about that.

p.s. My title today is a little bit of a Japanese rhyme. The verb for "to purchase", in it's past tense is katta, and rhymes with Yukata, which is what I bought. It's funny to me. I really enjoy wordplay in Japanese. Like, my pass for the trains is called a "suica", and my wallet is watermelon shaped, and watermelon is also "suica" in Japanese, so I have a suica in my suica. Having to explain it makes me feel a little lame though…
