Day 84 - Nya Nya Nyan

My host mom's a sneaky lady. She snuck natto into my spaghetti bread this morning. It's interesting enough being spaghetti bread, but the natto added a strange flavor to it. I wasn't sure until she told me, after I'd finished eating it. Sneaky sneaky. It was okay though, and now I can say I've eaten natto.

Soooooo guess where I went today?

Cat cafe!!! I've been wanting to go to one of these since I came to Japan, and today I finally went! Hooooooraaaay! They were so cute. I gotta thank Kenna again for taking me there. Unfortunately, it seemed like they were all drugged up. Super lazy, and not in the mood to real even acknowledge me. I did my best to annoy them and mess with them to get reactions. The one above was pretty much freaking adorable. I think the youngest, or at least the smallest, he was curled up in the highest spot he could get to, but that didn't save him from me. I poked and prodded him until he payed attention to me.

There were so many cats there, and it was really just nice to be around animals again. There was also a surprisingly large number of guys there. They just hung out, read books, read manga, and pet cats. It was a nice, chill atmosphere. And the cats were really laid back. I even got one to lick me. I got one to snap at me, too, but that's because I'm irritating to cats. On purpose.

I also just spent a lot of time hanging out with Kenna today, talking, wandering, eating tasty foods. Came home and had dinner with the host family, spend some time watching tv and talking with my host sister and mother. Rio is really helpful for understanding Japanese tv, and Mama always has something interesting to say regarding this or that celebrity. It was just a nice day.

Except for the weather. God. Soooooo muggy and hot today. Forcasts said to expect a thunderstorm, which didn't come, and it was just awful all day. This whole week is supposed to be like this. I don't know how I'll survive.
