Sorry for the late post. I stayed up watching One Piece and sewing my flag (finally), so I quickly lost track of time.
I woke up later today because of the rain. Kinda glad the econ prof is still in Kenya, this way I was able to wait til second period to get to school, and by then it'd mostly stopped raining. School was its usual boring fare. Only thing really remotely interesting was this guy Izzy, in my last class, kept using this word "mama-san", which seems pretty tame, until you know that's what they call women who run brothels or bars in Ginza. Yeah… It was fun pointing that out to him.
After school there was this meet-and-greet session with the students from Waseda who are going to Oregon schools. There were quite a few who are going to my school next year. Too bad I won't be there to greet them, lol. Still, it was kinda fun.
Got home today, and Mama greeted me with a manju. Pretty much mochi with bean paste inside. Yuck. Well, it wasn't too bad, but not something I'll want again soon. Finished watching some strange movie with them about a girl that gets kidnapped, and her kidnapper is a better mom than she'd have had anyway. Kinda depressing. Found out that my host sister has done some voice acting? Wanted to watch some, but it's all on VHS and she couldn't figure out how to get the VCR working. Maybe some other time.
And then I stayed up too late. I figured, I'mma be in the park on sunday anyway, may as well finish my flag and take it with, yeah? I'm about a third of the way there now. I wonder if I'll finish in time…
boo no Saturday evening post! :(
