The plan today was to go to Ueno Zoo, but unfortunately we forgot that it's actually closed on Mondays. Whoooops. So instead we went to another aquarium called the Tokyo Sea Life Park. Good thing, too, it was ridiculously hot today. I really need more shorts. I was sweating so hard, even inside with the airconditioning. I was not made for Japanese summer muggy heat.
They had this amazing, huge tank where tuna swam around, it was lovely. I managed to snap a few photos with my ipod, but they're pretty crap quality compared to what I'd get if I'd had my camera. Next time, I swear. The fish there seemed almost as interested in us as we were in them. Very active. Here's a few of the pics I took:
All in all, it was a lovely day. This place was really close to disneyland, and we could see it peaking out over the trees, taunting us all day. There was a nice ferris wheel there, too, and huge. It was like, more than 500 feet tall, I think is what they said? Well, after some calculations. 170 meters, is what they actually said. But I managed to get Tamarra to go on it, despite her fear of heights. We got a lovely view of Tokyo. Could see the Sky Tree, as well as a lovely view of Disney. I was so tempted to just go anyway. But didn't. We probably will go again at some point soon though. Anyway, that's about it for today. Gonna sleep early today so I can enjoy a cool morning before it heats up here again.
