Day 108 - Hot hot hot

It was extremely hot today. I know I've complained the past few days, but that's pretty much all my days consist of at the moment. Muggy, drowning heat, and school. School of course was rather boring today. Had to work on another group project. I honestly don't know if we'll succeed with that… In another class we had a speech/paper assigned. She wants us to give a speech, but also write it out on paper, and not look at the paper while we give the speech. Kinda confusing. And last class, we found out we'd be doing another skit. Starting next week. Giving us a whole week, meaning one entire class, for the skit, along with everything else going on. I hate one class a week classes. Loathe them. I'm so glad I'm going to be done with this soon. "This" being college in general. And Japan. Kinda.

By the time school let out it was nice and windy. Got to walk back to Baba with Tama-chan. Was nice and cool, at least while the wind kept blowing. The shade helped a little, too. We've made plans for some more fun, and it's looking like it'll be on cooler days, or at least days when it's raining and that will provide some respite. Meanwhile, I'm working on essays for at least three classes, a speech for friday for my host family, and various group projects where the group simply refuses to even try meeting. Hooray.

I spent the afternoon today dozing in and out. When it gets this hot, it's hard to remain conscious. I tend to kind of just slide sideways into sleep, one minute reading or watching something, thinking with my eyes closed, the next minute I'm suddenly awake and wondering where the last hour went. It's like my mind is overheating, blinking off for a short amount of time to recover from the heat. It is finally becoming slightly cooler as it gets closer to midnight. It's currently nearly 11pm, and it's still 77ºF outside. But I chatted with my grandmother last night, who's in cali, and it's in the triple-digits there right now, so I'm thankful for the relative coolness, at least.

p.s. I think I might have made it a little easier to comment. Haven't worked much with blogger before, so we'll see how this works out…
