So, sorry this one's late. I had a very busy day yesterday. I'd actually pulled up the page to start writing my post, and promptly fell asleep at my computer. Woke up two hours later with a crick in my neck and decided I'd better leave it til this morning.
I woke up early for early classes. Hadn't gotten to sleep until late, too, so that means I got about 5 hours of sleep? Went to econ. Thankfully, I only have two of those left. Unfortunately, both are exam days. That's fine though. Went through the rest of my classes. Spent lunch with Tama-chan, and my free period after that I spent alternately stressing about a speech and simply falling asleep because it hurt to keep my eyes open. Then lit, and japanese. Classes today ended about 6.
6:30, we had our final (and only?) dinner with host families and everyone who's going home this spring. I'd thought we were supposed to dress up, so I did. Wore a nice dress finally. I kinda stood out against the guys wearing shorts and t-shirts. The dinner itself was buffet style, but none of it particularly appealing. I like the karaage, but everyone else did too, so I only got like, three pieces.
The main drag was that everyone was to give a speech to their host family, and get one in return. There are 19 people in this group. We were there until almost 9, listening to everyone else. It got rather dull after the 5th one, and Marie decided to make the spring students wait til the very end. Everyone else used pieces of paper or their iphones, and just kind of read from them. I hadn't written anything down, so I just winged it. Mama was very impressed.
After, Mama thought it would be a good idea to finally do some Karaoke, which was awesome. We managed to drag along Rio and Yuri to get a room. But before that mama and I went to a little cafe near the station. It's popular, so there's always students, and it was a friday night. We ordered shaved ice and french fries, but in the 20minutes we were waiting got neither. Mama bugged them twice and then decided to cancel her order. She's quite strong willed. It's a little embarrassing.
But then karaoke, which was fun. This made the 3rd time. Mama likes to sing a bunch of traditional-like love songs. Rio and I sang glee and backstreet boys. For an hour, it was pretty fun. We finished after 11, came home, and mama decided we needed to eat more, since there wasn't much at the dinner thing. I got some delicious reheated yakisoba, and watermelon, of course, because for the past four days there's always been watermelon. We sat and chatted and I didn't make it up to bed until after one. So yeah, super tired.
