Day 99 - The Day I Thought Was 100

So, today started off lovely. Woke up nice and late. Got to sit and read a little while before going down to breakfast. Food was forgettable. Got to eat chicken jerky from Korea. Tasted like most other chicken jerky. The plan today had been to go with Mama to the Tokyo Tower Aquarium. Well, plans change. Turns out that Mama invited Ih-kun to go in her place. Which is totally okay, though completely unexpected. I was feeling a little wary about that, but since he speaks english and is a little closer to my age, it's kinda better than going with Mama.

Turned out to be really nice. I'll even admit that Ih-kun is pretty cute, he wasn't too hard to look at all day. But clever to boot. Talked half in Japanese and half in English, managed to get through a ton of topics without it ever getting to awkward or stilted. Conversation stage cleared! And still went to the aquarium. Turns out, after all, that it's actually below the tower. So I got to see it really up close. Super cool. Tokyo Sky Tree is cool and all, but the Tokyo Tower has history. I don't know what that history is, but it's been around long enough to have some, I figure.

So yeah, spent the day wandering in a tiny aquarium, making fun of weird-faced fishes. There were a bunch of eel and pirana in this one, which I haven't seen much of so far. Pretty cool. Also, alligator turtle, awesome. The thing looked ancient, and had moss and shit growing on it. I was impressed. Had lunch at a Japanese Pizza chain called Pizza-la. Tasty, but strange. Tried their teriyaki-chicken pizza. It also had mayo and corn on it, for some strange reason. Japan. Then we split up and Ih-kun went to hang with his friends, since that's what he was here to do in the first place. I got to come home and relax for awhile before Mama came home. Homework, then bed.

Also, kinda spent the whole day thinking today was my 100th in Japan and was happy about how it was turning out. Welp, it was actually the 99th day. So tomorrow's the 100th. Might end up doing something fun. Probably will just school and laundry. Japan is so exciting!
