Mmmm today. Words hard. Woke up nice and late-ish. And by that I mean about 7ish. So not really late. But late enough considering I went to be about 7pm yesterday. Got some good sleep. It was cool enough today because of the rainy weather that I got to dress up a little. Wore a skirt and everything. Met up with Tamarra for lunch. Curry. I'm gonna miss curry on saturdays.
Tamarra's host mother performed with a choir today. Directed by some famous guy who recently turned 88. 大央 恩 or something like that. It was nice, if difficult to understand because it was all in Japanese. They did have the lyrics in the play book, but it was also full of kanji so… yeah. But her host mother was lovely. Looked very nice. A mezzo soprano, and as a group, they were very good. I was pleasantly surprised. All the musical exposure I've had in this country so far has been boy bands and AKB48, which really aren't stellar examples of music in any sense of the word.
Went with Tama-chan to Denny's for the last time here in Japan. Don't have the money to do it again. I'm really starting to run a little short. Gotta cut back on lunches. Didn't expect to be spending so much of bottled drinks, but gotta stay hydrated somehow and there's a notable lack of water fountains. Thankfully, I've paid for most everything, but what's left is kind of big. The bus to the airport is over $30. To cancel my phone is probably over $100. And I'm not sure how much shipping will be. To get here a box cost $70. I'm shipping by boat so it'll hopefully be cheaper, but I don't know how much cheaper… Money problems.
