The weather today was a lovely respite. I woke up this morning, not drenched in sweat, and it was lovely. There was a nice, crisp breeze that kept things cool most of the day as well. The weather looked a little gruesome, and it turned out one of my professors today cancelled her class. Which is okay, but seeing as I only had the two classes today, it was a little unfortunate. I did go to econ though, and stuck around after that to work on schoolwork. I'm actually doing it, I'm surprised at myself.
Spent enough time at school to meet with Tama-chan after 4th period. We had a quick snack at this tiny cafe near campus. Makes this delicious chocolate mousse with ladyfingers in it, and a raspberry glaze on top. And ice cream with rum-raisins. Sooooo tasty. I'm still debating if it's worth the ¥500… I'm thinking it is.
I'm sitting now with the rain pouring outside my window. Days like this I always want to sing irish songs into the rain. Don't really know why, some sort of rain+highschool+irish association there. Don't wanna think about it too hard. That's another thing that I kind of miss in Japan, being able to sing. There's such an oppressive atmosphere here. I feel like, if I broke into song on my way to school or whatever, I'd get some pretty hateful glares.
Tomorrow is looking to be a busy day. But I'm gonna dress up for the first time in a while. It's just for dinner with host families, but I feel like it's a good excuse to get all pretty and shit. I'm finally gonna wear my polka dot dress. I'm excited.
